Whitwell Centre-May 22nd 2010

Whitwell Rocked and it wasn't just the quarry! It was Twin Lizzy-The Boys were back!

As the first chords from Lizzy's spearhead twin guitars were struck the crowd were transported back to a time when hair was big, rock was king and Phil Lynott and the boys held court.

In 'H' the band have found a charismatic front man that fits the bill, plays the part and this has taken the band to new heights and they are now probably the best Lizzy tribute in the country bar none.

All night, taff and Steve exchanged riffs as Gorham and Robertson before them and the bass
driven rhythems of 'H' and dave held it all together in a no nonsense unforgiving way that Lynott and
Downey would have no doubt approved of.
In true Lizzy fashion the fans were not allowed to draw breath as classic after classic was forced
through the stacks, Bad Reputation, Emerald, South Band, Rosalle, waiting for an Alibi,
Black Rose, Dancing in the Moonlight, it was relentless and everyone revelled in the nostalgia,
arms were held aloft, the crowd bayed for more and on it went.
Cowboy Song-howooooo!, brought the house down, still Lizzy had more to offer,
The Boys are back in Town, Warrior, Lynotts homage to Hendrix, Jonny the Fox, on they went.

The guys left the stage to rapturous applause following an encore of Whisky in the jar and The Rocker, ending a night that those had come to see would remember for a time to come. No doubt those that attended will reflect that a show of such quality, the memories of a fantastic band that stirred, were well worth the entrance fee. Those who did not venture missed an opportunity to see a great band.

If you were there let us have your thoughts and let us know if you would like to see the boys again.

Whitwell Forward and Forward Promotions would like to thank all the member of Twin Lizzy, Including Graham and the crew for all the efforts in making the night such a resounding success, what the punters do not see are the hours and hours that the guys put in to pull it all together, they are great to work with, down to earth and are as proffessional in their stage set up as they are musically. Cheers guys, it was a pleasure. Hopefully we can do it again sometime.
